Thoroughly enjoying our fresh virgin strawberry daiquiris! |
Growing up I loved virgin (without the liquor) strawberry daiquiris and slushies. We used to get the premixed concentrated cans from the frozen foods aisle and just blend it up in the mixer with water and ice. Quick, easy and very delightful on one of the hot days in south Florida where I grew up. When I wanted to duplicate the experience with my children, I discovered it was just as quick, cheap and easy to make homemade virgin strawberry daiquiris with simple ingredients at home. The good news is that this homemade version is free of the high fructose corn syrup, sugars and artificial dyes that are present in many of the concentrated syrups or concentrated canned mixes found in the frozen foods aisle. This recipe is also a great high fructose corn syrup and artificial dye free alternative to slushies as well! It's refreshing, all natural and
purely satisfying after a hot day in the sun!
